My latest post goes live tomorrow on Dr. Mommy–it’s all about potting benches.  I don’t have one yet, but writing that post inspired me!  There may be a potting bench in my near future!  I’m think something like this, maybe.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!  We had a great weekend, all-together–got house chores done on Saturday, saw Hunger Games Saturday evening, Church on Sunday morning, and then some family time in the afternoon!  It even got a little cool here, which was so nice.
For Easter, my husband ordered me the Tocca perfumes I posted about here.  I’ve never purchased perfume without smelling it before, but they should be here soon so I’ll let you know what I think!
Happy Easter Candy Recovery Week! 🙂

stuff for spring

Hi friends!  I’ve missed you!  It’s been a crazy couple of weeks.  One of my best friends got engaged a week and a half ago and some of us girls were able to surprise her by showing up at the engagement party.  It was a whirlwind trip, but well worth it!  She is a die-hard Chick-fil-a fan so, for the engagement, her boyfriend had the Chick-fil-a cow show up at her doorstep with the ring!!  Apparently, the video got sent to Mr Cathy himself!

My latest post went live at Dr. Mommy Online today.  It’s all about hot colors for Spring!!  Be sure to check it out HERE.

Sorry that we’re almost halfway through March and you’re just now getting this.  The new March calendar from Creature Comforts is available to download HERE.  So cute!

If you’re still trying to add a little Spring to your desktop background, Vera Bradley has some free wallpapers available for download HERE.

Have you recovered from Spring forward this past weekend?  I have and I am LOVING the extra daylight!

Happy Wednesday!

this and that

There’s a bunch of “this and that” going on, so I thought I”d use this post to catch you up and get your feedback.

For starters, my latest post went live on Dr. Mommy Online yesterday–check it out here.  It’s all about gallery walls!

Also, I don’t think I told you, but I won a giveaway a few weeks ago on Freckled Laundry.  It was for 100 free business cards designed by Reni at Bliss and Tell Branding Company–super awesome!

She just sent me first revisions this week and I have two options that I can’t decide between!

Option 1:

or Option 2:

I would so appreciate it if you could comment on which one is your favorite–it would definitely help make my decision easier!

On a random note, it has been unseasonably warm here.  I think it may have reached 80 today, and we even had a thunder storm.  Everything is in bloom…even flowers that usually bloom in the summer!

Is it really only February?!

My allergies have been going crazy {boo} and I can’t seem to kick it…  My chiropractor suggested a home remedy involving garlic cloves, coconut oil, and olive oil–apparently you make a paste and then put it on your feet {with socks}…hmmm not too sure about that.

Did I mention I hate pollen?.

Asa’s brother, Kade, is due in just a few short weeks.  Although all of the furniture in his nursery was pre-exisiting (from when Asa was a baby), he did get new bedding, window treatments, and some accessories.  I’ve been working with Melody to select fabrics and accessories and it’s almost ready!  Here’s a sneak preview of the room.

{more pictures coming!}

Finally, I thought I’d share this great recipe I found on Pinterest.  Every Monday night, my sisters-in-law and I get together for dessert and the Bachelor.  It was my turn to provide dessert this Monday so I made gooey cinnamon sticks:

The recipe calls for a can of pre-made pizza dough, but I bought a can of pre-cut bread-stick dough instead.  The garlic spread was in a separate container so I didn’t have to worry about garlic flavored cinnamon sticks.

Check out the recipe HERE–it’s so easy and quick!

Well…if that’s not a random post, I’m not sure what is!

Have a great weekend, friends!
